Geometric Abstract Paintings

Geometric forms are those which are referred to named regular shapes such as squares, rectangles, circles, cubes spheres, cones and other regular forms and it’s not entirely a contemporary or current phenomenon. Some civilizations during ancient times also had tendencies of producing colorful patterns which were geometrical in nature. Still, geometric conceptual art works is said by some to have started with Pablo Picasso and his works which delved with cubism. The geometric portion of his conceptual artworks is basically the fact that he was able to paint the different angles of objects and people on a single plane. As of the present, modern society also has drawings and artworks wherein a geometrical theme seems to be pervading. You can see how conceptual artworks of the past have influenced paintings as well as architecture, influencing them to play with the basic shapes of squares and circles.

However, not all prepared objects are geometric. Many designed forms have irregular shape. Nor are all naturally occurring objects organic just as snowflakes and soap bubbles are among many geometric forms found in nature. This form of conceptual artworks has found an ally with the advent of modern technology.
